Taxes Labour could raise to plug spending shortfalls

Rachel Reeves has warned she will have to make “difficult decisions” to restore Britain’s economy, which could mean raising taxes.

Speaking to parliament this week to outline the spending inherited from the previous Conservative government, the Chancellor of the Exchequer stressed there were £22 billion in “uncovered and undisclosed” costs.
