How to see blocked numbers on iphone

In this world of constant connection, many people confuse being available with being accessible. However, this is not always the case, and having the ability to opt out of certain conversations is important for your personal safety, as not everyone who calls or texts you has good intentions. In some cases, it could be a scammer looking to take advantage of you. In other cases, it could be someone in your life that you have cut off contact with for one reason or another.

Luckily, Apple has introduced features to protect your digital boundaries, such as blocking text messages, calls, and even emails. And if you block someone in one app, it automatically affects the rest of the apps on your iPhone, as well as any devices associated with your Apple account, like iPads and Macs.

That said, you may change your mind about who you want to talk to. After all, just because the caller is probably a scammer doesn’t mean they are. Sometimes, it can just be a misunderstanding (or your over-dramatizing). So if you need to assess who you’ve rejected, you can check your existing list of blocked numbers on your iPhone. There are three ways to check your blocked numbers on your iPhone: Phone, Messages, and FaceTime. Here’s how to find blocked numbers using each.

Where to find blocked numbers in Settings on iPhone and Mac

To view a list of blocked phone numbers in the iPhone Settings app, just tap Phone > Blocked Contacts. You can also select Messages in the Settings app, then under SMS/MMS, tap Blocked Contacts. You can also try FaceTime in Settings and tap Blocked Contacts, which is under Calls.

Alternatively, if you have a Mac that is connected to the same Apple account, you can also view blocked contacts from the Messages app and FaceTime on the desktop. To find blocked contacts in the FaceTime app on the desktop, launch FaceTime, click FaceTime in the upper left corner of the screen, and select Settings. Then, at the top of the Settings window, click Blocked.

In the Messages app, click Messages in the upper left corner of the screen and select Settings. Then, at the top of the iMessage window, click iMessage > Blocked.

Once you’ve reviewed your blocked numbers, you can easily unblock a number on your iPhone. In addition to reviewing your blocked numbers list, there are other ways you can customize your communication settings on your iPhone. For example, you can mute unknown callers in the Phone and FaceTime apps, or filter unknown senders in Messages. And if you want some context before you answer a call, you can also opt to enable live transcription for voicemail messages.
