Drake Performs ‘Wah Gwan Delilah’ Live in Toronto: Watch

Shortly after suffering a blowout in his feud with Kendrick Lamar, Drake appeared on a Toronto-style cover of Plain White T’s hit “Hey There Delilah,” titled “Wah Gwan Delilah” by comedian Snowd4y. On Friday (August 2), he made a surprise appearance at his OVO partner PartyNextDoor’s Toronto show and performed the song for the first time. Watch it below.

Behind Billboard CanadaPND left the stage for Drake on the final stop of his Sorry I’m Outside Tour (buy tickets here) for an hour-long R&B set. After opening with a 2015 remix of Ramriddlz’s “Sweeterman,” Drake transitioned into his live debut with “Wah Gwan Delilah.”

He then performed older songs such as “Practice” and “Connect” from Take care of yourself AND Nothing was the samerespectively, before moving on to newer tracks including “Redemption”, “Finesse” and “Pipe Down” featuring Views, ScorpioAND Certified Lover.

To conclude the show, Drake brought PartyNextDoor back on stage to perform duets, including their 2016 hit “Come and See Me.” After calling PND the “King of R&B,” Drake revealed they were working on a joint album.

“On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all,” Drake said. “So, summer’s over, do what you gotta do. I know y’all girls are out. When the weather gets a little cooler, PartyNextDoor and Drake’s album will be waiting for you.” He added, “I’m here tonight to thank each and every one of you for all your years of unwavering support.”

After losing the rap battle, Drake focused on R&B, a smart move that even Kendrick would approve of. “I like Drake with melodies, I don’t like Drake when he act tough,” the latter rapped on “Euphoria.”

The PartyNextDoor tour continues in North America until mid-August. They will begin touring the UK and Europe in October. See the full schedule below and book your seats here.
