Kaveri 2.0 Online Registration Software Has Problems

The online application software of the Department of Stamps and Registrations, Kaveri 2.0, is technically inferior. Instead of saving time, it wastes it and tests the patience of the common people.

I applied for attested copy of sale deed on 19.7.2024 and since 30.7.2024 the status is still as “allotted to FDA/SDA from SRO for verification”. Earlier when the application was submitted manually it used to take 2 to 3 days. Even now it can be done within 2 days if we go to the Sub Registrar’s office and meet the concerned person.

This shows the apathy of officials in providing services to people, even though computer software should speed up the process. Staff are holding back unnecessarily to collect an “additional service fee”.

I hope Finance Minister Krishna Byre Gowda will look into this matter and put an end to this “system of open delays”.
