Caitlyn Jenner is one of many celebrities who have expressed their opinion on Algerian boxer Imane Khelif.

In a recent statement, the Internal Olympic Association announced that it would still allow Khelif to compete in the Olympics despite many calling for her to be disqualified.

“Every person has the right to practice sports without discrimination,” the IOC wrote. “All athletes participating in the boxing tournament of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games shall comply with the rules on eligibility and participation in competitions, as well as all applicable medical regulations established by the Paris 2024 Boxing Unit (PBU).

Jenner, however, disagreed with the decision and wasn’t afraid to make it known when she appeared on Fox News on Friday.

“Honestly, this case has hurt the Olympics so much because everyone is talking about it,” Jenner said.

“Shame on the IOC for not protecting the integrity of women’s sport, and shame on the IOC for not protecting the safety of women’s sport,” Jenner added.

Even though it has been confirmed that Khelif was born a girl, many people still want her to be aborted due to Swyer syndrome, which causes the presence of XY chromosomes.

Of course, as a co-Olympic champion and a transgender woman, many people feel Jenner has a very important voice in this discussion.

Caitlyn Jenner has her own Olympic story

Many people are quick to forget that Jenner was an Olympic gold medalist before she underwent gender reassignment surgery.

At the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Jenner won the gold medal in the men’s decathlon in track and field, breaking the world record at the time.

It was the only medal Jenner won in the two Olympic Games in which he competed.
