UGC-NET 2024 re-test to be held on August 21

New Delhi: The UGC-NET June 2024 exam, which was cancelled following complaints of question paper leak, will be held again from August 21 to September 4.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the re-sit examination, has released a detailed schedule for the exam, which will be held in a computer-based format.

UGC-NET June 2024 Re-test: Exam Centres
The notification regarding the examination centre details will be published on the NTA website 10 days prior to the examination (https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in and www.nta.ac.in).

Computer test
The NTA has decided to re-administer the test using a computer-based format due to the frequent controversy surrounding paper-based exams.

Controversy and Cancellation
The UGC-NET June 2024 exam was held on June 18 in pen-and-paper mode. However, it was cancelled the next day after allegations emerged that the question paper had been leaked.

The CBI later found that the question paper, purportedly for the UGC-NET June 2024 exam, circulating on Telegram channels was fake.
