Harrogate-based PR agency hires first staff member

Public relations agency Tarleton Communications has hired its first staff member after two years of continuous growth.

Tarleton has hired Tom Horn (pictured right) as its chief customer officer after landing a number of large accounts and continuing organic growth for the company.

Horn is a former Radio News Hub journalist who previously worked for Sony Electronics on pan-European PR campaigns across their healthcare portfolio. He joins the agency just two years after it was founded to serve the unique needs of innovation-focused organisations across the technical and regulated sectors.

Tarleton is a specialist public relations agency based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Serving clients across the life sciences, engineering, technology and research sectors, Tarleton provides a full range of public relations services including traditional media and press management, specialist content production and public affairs consultancy.

Many start-up agencies use freelancers and outsources to scale, but Tarleton has taken the approach of delivering work entirely in-house to maintain control over quality and confidentiality. The agency has a small but impressive client list that includes international SMEs as well as the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.
