Virtual spirituality startup VAMA will deploy the government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to expand its service offerings to more consumers through the network.

By joining the ONDC network, VAMA will not only seek to provide services to a wider range of customers, but also intends to increase the convenience of using the services for its current users.

Founded by Aacharya Dev, Himanshu Semwal and Manu Jain in 2020, VAMA.app is a virtual platform offering digital services like e-pujas, e-darshans, astrology and spiritual blog posts. It has worked with over 250 temples and has a network of over 300 astrologers.

“With ONDC’s broad reach, we can now welcome a wider audience who desire to cultivate a deeper connection with their spirituality. This initiative will provide unparalleled access to spiritual guidance and live events, enabling us to offer a more engaging and meaningful spiritual journey,” Jain said.

ONDC Managing Director and CEO T. Koshy said, “The addition of VAMA.app to the network demonstrates our inclusive approach. Our goal is to become a one-stop shop for everyday needs where users can avail services that meet their daily needs, from commerce to spirituality.”
