TikTok partners with ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024

TikTok has committed to supporting Vietnamese enterprises in expanding their e-commerce footprint and improving business efficiency on cross-border trading platforms through its first collaboration with ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024, which will take place from August 8-10.

At the same time, TikTok implemented activities on its platform aimed at increasing the impact of the event on a wide range of companies in the region.

The ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024 promotional video attracted 32.9 million views on the platform within 12 hours of being uploaded. More than 100 live streaming sessions on the TikTok Shop were branded with the event logo. Banners and a landing page to provide additional information about the event directly on the TikTok Shop also caught the attention of many users.

In addition, a workshop on “Finding Breakthrough Solutions to Promote Cross-Border E-Commerce in ASEAN,” organized by TikTok in cooperation with the Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, presented concrete plans and initiatives to support enterprises in optimizing their TikTok store operations.

The TikTok for Business model will support businesses in maximizing the potential of cross-border e-commerce by offering solutions such as cross-border advertising, message advertising, lead generation and more.

To support ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024, the TikTok for Business – SMB team announced a special support initiative for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.

TikTok will actively promote the advertising of Vietnamese products and brands through a $1 million credit support package, and also provide individual assistance to companies operating on the platform.

Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam, noted: “With its strengths in platform solutions and wide user network, TikTok, together with TikTok Shop, will strive to create a vibrant e-commerce ecosystem, helping businesses easily reach customers both regionally and globally.”

According to Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen, deputy director of the Vietnam Agency for E-Commerce and Digital Economy, ASEAN Online Sale Day 2024 is an opportunity for businesses and consumers in the ASEAN region to access special offers and unique products from 10 member countries.

“The highlight of this year is the participation of many major e-commerce platforms, and this is also the first time TikTok has joined. This creates a larger, more diverse space for businesses to connect with consumers across the ASEAN region,” she said.
