The event aims to support startups from concept to commercialization and expand their global marketing reach. The summit provides a key launchpad for startups looking to reach new heights, focusing on the critical role AI and related technologies are poised to play in shaping the future, reinforcing Hong Kong’s status as a global innovation and technology (I&T) hub.

HKSTP is leading 14 pioneering startups at Techsauce Global Summit 2024, Southeast Asia’s premier innovation and technology event, to be held from 7 to 9 August in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Hong Kong Pavilion showcases market-ready innovations in AI, advanced electronics, digital transformation and sustainable technology. Technologies on display include integrations of large language model (LLM), blockchain and AI to enhance the efficiency of professional services such as legal and human resource management, and AI-based tools for digital marketing, e-commerce and personal care. These exhibits illustrate Hong Kong’s research potential and its potential to drive global change. Their presentation at the Summit is expected to attract global attention and open up potential business opportunities.

On-us, one of the exhibiting startups, received the prestigious “Techsauce Innovation Award 2024” at Summit. On-us offers innovative, global, personalized B2B2C e-voucher incentive platforms that enable businesses to increase customer engagement with flexible fintech solutions and advanced AI analytics.

Ahead of the Techsauce Global Summit, HKSTP held a series of strategic pre-event activities to increase interactions and deepen connections across local and regional innovation ecosystems. This initiative is in line with HKSTP’s Innovation Mixer mission to collaborate with global businesses and talent to develop our innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystems. Pre-event activities included meetings and exchanges with the National Innovation Agency (NIA), Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), True Digital Park and investors to foster collaboration opportunities and demonstrate Hong Kong’s commitment to technology and innovation.

HKSTP is actively involved in the I&T ecosystem in Southeast Asia, leveraging Hong Kong’s strategic location to attract technology companies from the region. In 2023, Cohort 1 of HKSTP’s “HK Sandbox Programme” was launched for Thai startups to explore opportunities in Hong Kong. Eight Thai startups joined HKSTP’s Ideation Programme and landed in Hong Kong to further expand their market reach. With the success of Cohort 1, applications are now open to a new cohort of Thai startups. Hong Kong serves as a key gateway not only to mainland China but also to the GBA, providing access to vast regional and international markets.
