Top executives from leading AI companies have praised the United Arab Emirates and Dubai for their significant role in attracting global innovators, startups and capital to the Middle East, making the region a growing hub for the digital economy.

During a panel discussion at the Dubai International Financial Centre ahead of the inaugural Dubai AI and Web3 Festival, company representatives highlighted how the festival is a testament to Dubai’s commitment to promoting future technologies through a noteworthy platform that supports regional development and opens up new markets for AI applications.

Nader Al Bastaki, Managing Director of Dubai Future District Fund, stressed the need to increase awareness and trust in the AI ​​sector through stakeholder engagement. According to Al Bastaki, Dubai AI and Web3 Festival is a prime venue for global stakeholders to increase public awareness and readiness on AI advancements and anticipate future trends.

Heath Behncke, Managing Director of Holon, characterized Dubai as a global hub for AI companies, supported by initiatives aimed at accelerating AI adoption in key sectors, offering an innovative environment for global AI talent to flourish. He noted Dubai’s facilitation in opening new markets for AI in the Middle East.

Patrik Eriksson, Director of Data and Delivery Technology at ZainTECH, described the UAE as an innovation hub due to its active efforts to unite global AI companies to explore new opportunities and shape policies. He highlighted the role of the upcoming festival in attracting international experts to exchange insights and solutions, thereby increasing knowledge in AI.

Peter Oganesean, Managing Director, Middle East and East Africa, HP Computing and Printing Middle East, noted that the festival offers a unique opportunity to harness the potential of AI by equipping individuals and organisations with the necessary tools for future AI applications.

Saqr Ereiqat, TradeDog Market Manager, echoed these sentiments, confirming the UAE’s position as a leader in disruptive technology sectors thanks to its investments in human capital and infrastructure.
