University of Devon relaunches mining course at Cornwall campus

“Mining is an integral part of modern society and as we work towards net zero emissions, demand for key minerals will only increase,” said Prof Roberts.

“We know that one of the biggest concerns for the mining industry in recent years has been recruiting new graduates and I am pleased to announce the resumption of the Bachelor of Mining Engineering degree programme.”

Camborne School of Mines Principal Professor Pat Foster said the school had a “rich tradition” of providing thousands of students with top qualifications that would enable them to pursue successful careers around the world.

She said: “The work we do has never been more important than now as we move towards net zero emissions and demand for key minerals increases.
