Are you a home buyer or seller affected by the upcoming NAR settlement changes?

CNN

The rules for residential real estate are changing this month. The National Association of Realtors said changes included in a settlement to end antitrust legal claims will officially go into effect nationwide on Aug. 17.

The changes change informal guidelines that often led to home sellers paying a commission of 5% or 6%, which was typically split between the agent representing the buyer and the agent representing the seller. Agents working with buyers must now sign a written purchase agreement, specifying the fee, before viewing the property.

The regulations could fundamentally change the way Americans buy and sell homes. Are you planning to buy or sell a home in the near future? If so, we want to hear from you about how the changes could affect you.
