2024 Metrobank Foundation honors outstanding Filipinos

The Metrobank Foundation (MBFI) proudly announces the recipients of the 2024 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Award.

Considered the most prestigious professional service award in the Philippines, this distinction is given annually to outstanding individuals from the academic, military and police worlds who have made a significant impact on their communities and the country.

MBFI 2024 Outstanding Filipino Teachers include Ma. Ella Fabella, a teacher II at Maasin Learning Center in Zamboanga City; Franco Rino Apoyon, principal II of Kabasalan National High School in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay; Decibel Faustino-Eslava, Ph.D., professor 9 at the University of the Philippines Los Baños in Laguna; and Dr. Maria Regina Hechanova-Alampay, professor at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City.

The MBFI 2024 Outstanding Filipino Soldiers are Captain Salvador Sambalilo PN (GSC) of the Philippine Navy in Subic, Zambales; Maj. Ron JR Villarosa (INF) PA of the Philippine Army in Taguig City; and Staff Sergeant Michael Rayanon PN (M) of the Philippine Navy in San Vicente, Palawan.

The outstanding Philippine Police officers of MBFI 2024 are Lt. Col. Bryan Bernardino of the Tacurong City Police Station, Sultan Kudarat; Maj. Mark Ronan Balmaceda of the National Capital Region Police Office in Taguig City; and SSg. Llena Sol-Josefa Jovita of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Station in Cagayan de Oro.

Each winner will receive PHP 1 million (after tax) and the iconic “The Flame” trophy at the awards ceremony to be held on September 4, 2024 at the Grand Hyatt Manila.
