Microsoft Paint 3D will be discontinued and removed from the Microsoft Store by that date.

Remember the days when we opened MS Paint on our old CRT monitors or boxed computer monitors and then drew random things to our heart’s delight? As we grew up, Microsoft revamped the concept of MS Paint and launched another software in 2016 known as Paint 3D. When users tried it, they remembered the good old days. Now, our beloved software is about to bid farewell to us. The new app was supposed to replace the old one, but the tech giant announced that it will discontinue Paint 3D and remove it from the Microsoft Store.

The app was designed to allow users to create and edit 3D models, and the decision to remove it came as no surprise, as Microsoft removed Paint 3D from the list of pre-installed apps on Windows in 2021.

Some Paint 3D users have complained about the banner at the top of the app. According to the banner, Microsoft is planning to retire the app as of November 4.

Is it still available to download?

While the app is no longer included with Windows, it is still available to download for free from the Microsoft Store, whether you are using Windows 10 or Windows 11. Despite this availability, the app has failed to gain popularity, with many users preferring the classic version of Paint, which still has millions of users worldwide.

In recent months, Microsoft has focused its attention on the classic Paint app, rolling out several updates and new AI-powered features that let users create images from scratch and remove backgrounds.

The company also announced that the Paint 3D app will be removed from the Microsoft Store on November 4, and support for the app will end after that date.
