Pixel 9 series launch live streamed by Google and Android: How to watch the August 14 launch event live (video)

The Pixel series launch event, Made by Google, is just a few days away. The annual event is expected to bring several software and hardware announcements, making it one of Google’s most important events. This year will be different compared to previous years as Google is holding the event two months ahead of schedule. Firstly, the event is usually held in October instead of August. Secondly, Google will launch four smartphones including a foldable device in the Pixel 9 series. Now, the third change is that the Android YouTube channel will also be live streaming the Pixel 9 series launch event.

Google and Android to Livestream Pixel 9 Series Reveal

With the Pixel 9 launch just 2 days away, Google has finally shared its “Made by Google 2024” live stream on its YouTube channel. Apart from Google, Android will also be live streaming the event. The move will showcase Google’s commitment to merging its Android and hardware teams into one, dubbed “Platforms & Devices,” and it will be headed by Rick Osterloh. The event is expected to showcase Android and Gemini-related announcements along with the Pixel 9 launch.

The Android YouTube channel also shared a live stream with the caption, “Watch now for updates on Google AI and the latest Pixel devices, including #Pixel9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.” Based on Pacific Time (PT), the Made by Google 2024 event will start on August 13 at 10:00 AM. However, in India, the live stream will start on August 14 at 10:30 AM.

What to expect at the Made by Google event

At the upcoming Google launch event, the company will launch the new Pixel 9 series which will include four models namely Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Along with the new Pixel smartphones, Google might also announce the new Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 in the hardware category. Moreover, from a software perspective, the tech giant might announce the rollout of Android 15 and the new Gemini AI feature on Pixel devices.
