Telangana delegation led by CM Revanth Reddy begins Korea tour with meeting LS Corp

Hyderabad (Telangana) (India), August 12 (ANI): A Telangana government delegation led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister Sridhar Babu on Monday began its trip to South Korea, soon after completing a tour of the US, with an aim to secure further investments in the state.

In a press release, the Telangana CMO said, “Good day from Korea. I am pleased to inform everyone that our Korean tour has started on a very positive note.”“We started the day with extensive discussions with one of Korea’s largest industrial conglomerates – LS Corp, which was formerly part of the LG Group,” the CMO said.

The CMO said the team, including ministerial colleague D. Sridhar Babu and officials, met LS Group Chairman Koo Ja Eun and his senior management.

“Our discussions covered a wide range of interests, including investments in electricity cables, gas and power, and batteries in Telangana,” the CMO added.

“The LS team will soon visit our state on my invitation. I am sure we will formally welcome them to Telangana as investors in the coming days,” CM Reddy said.

Earlier, CM Revanth Reddy concluded his US tour on a high note by securing investment plans worth over Rs 31,500 crore, a statement in the CM’s office said, adding that the investment will generate over 30,750 new jobs.

The delegation organised coast-to-coast roundtables on business, artificial intelligence and semiconductors and also met CEOs, founders and representatives of alliances and business groups, inviting them to Hyderabad and include Telangana in their plans, the statement said.

The delegation introduced businesses and investors from various sectors to Hyderabad and Telangana and concluded new agreements and expansion agreements in the areas of IT, GCC, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, data centres, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data centres, electric vehicles and batteries, green energy, fast moving consumer goods and manufacturing, the statement added.

Among the most important announcements in the IT sector is Charles Schwab GCC, one of the leading American corporations in the financial sector, the statement said.

The Trinet deal opens up significant opportunities in the HR solutions sector. Significant expansion announcements by global IT giant Cognizant and Arcesium have strengthened Hyderabad’s lead in the IT/GCC space, the statement added. (ANI)
