Brona Magee to replace Klaus Miller on Hannover Re’s board

The Supervisory Board of global reinsurer Hannover Re has appointed Brona Magee to the position of board member. The change will take effect on 1 January 2025.

Magee replaces Klaus Miller on the company’s board of directors, who will remain in an advisory role.

Since April 2023, Magee has successfully overseen the company’s Life & Health Asia Business Center. Together with Claude Chèvre, he will now assume responsibility for the Life & Health Reinsurance business group on the board.

She has more than two decades of experience in the reinsurance industry, having joined SCOR in 2011 as part of the integration of Transamerica Reinsurance. Magee held various international leadership positions before becoming Deputy CEO of SCOR Global Life in 2018.

Miller spent 14 years at Hannover Re, joining the company in 2010. He previously served as Head of Structured Insurance Solutions at Commerzbank before joining Hannover Re’s management board.

He is currently responsible for life and health reinsurance in North America, Bermuda, the UK and Ireland, and Northern, Eastern and Central Europe.
