Extended Gameplay Trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Most Wanted Mission Just Released

More Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone gameplay will be revealed during Call of Duty: NEXT on August 28, and the BO6 Multiplier Open Beta will begin on August 30.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the next premium entry in the hit first-person shooter series, and Raven Software took the stage at Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live to showcase an extended look at the campaign mission titled “Most Wanted.”

The fresh look at the campaign featured new gameplay elements, showing players infiltrating an event for the senator. New equipment can be seen, including the use of a camera to take a photo, which is then used to bypass a facial recognition scanner. The selected mission centers around a new Black Ops squad that has freed returning protagonist Russell Adler. Gunfights and combat with heavily armored enemies, a car chase involving stolen dirt bikes, and a look at an all-new explosive, homing, throwing knife were all part of the trailer. A new movement system, which has been dubbed Omnimovement, was also seen in the gameplay reveal, where the player dives backwards to land on their backs.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on October 25, becoming the first title in the series to hit the subscription service on day one. The title is highly anticipated, having had the longest development cycle (spanning four years) of any other premium Call of Duty release. While Treyarch is listed as the lead developer for Black Ops 6, development of the campaign was spearheaded by the team at Raven Software, who also worked on 2020’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 focuses on a reimagined alternate history filled with secrets and conspiracy theories, while the multiplayer will feature 16 all-new maps. The beloved Zombies mode will also return to round-based gameplay, as was recently revealed in a detailed intel dump.

The expanded gameplay look is sure to continue to fuel the hype around Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ahead of the COD: Next show, which begins on August 28. COD: Next will offer an in-depth look at the game’s multiplayer and zombies modes, as well as what’s in store for Call of Duty: Warzone. Players will be able to pre-load the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta on August 28, with the first weekend of the Open Beta beginning on August 30. COD publisher Activision has been working hard to prevent leaks about Black Ops 6 multiplayer following a Call of Duty HQ update that gave jailbroken PS4 players early access to the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 pre-orders are now open, with players having the choice of the Standard, Cross-Gen, or Vault editions of the game. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will receive the Cross-Gen edition of the game on day one, with the option to upgrade to the Vault Edition at a discount. Pre-orders unlock the special Woods Operator Bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (at launch).
