Gerber Federal Credit Union’s Vice President of Compliance and Risk Takes Executive Leadership Title

FREMONT, MI (August 21, 2024) — Jessica Broad, associate vice president of compliance and risk, recently graduated from Credit Union Management School to earn the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation. The Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation is awarded by America’s Credit Unions (formerly Credit Union National Association) and represents the highest level of credit union leadership ability. It is awarded after completing Credit Union Management School’s three-year executive education program, which includes exams, projects, and an oral presentation. Management School is held in a classroom setting, which facilitates networking. Traditionally, students build lifelong relationships that continue after graduation.

Credit Union Management School is a major step toward professional development and leadership positions within a credit union. Each year, credit union professionals preparing for a career in management attend the longest-running educational program in the credit union movement, led by University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business professors, credit union professionals, and respected industry experts. Participants learn key management responsibilities, financial operations, and leadership techniques. With more than 5,000 students, the school develops dynamic leaders and has a well-deserved reputation as the preeminent three-year executive education program. Many graduates have gone on to hold senior positions at the state and national levels in credit unions and credit union professional organizations.

Broad has been in the credit union industry for 20 years, starting her career as a teller at Gerber FCU. She also holds the Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) and Certified Risk Manager (NCRM) designations from the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). She is passionate about helping members and truly lives the credit union philosophy.
