Fire truck explodes after crashing into enemy explosive device in Kharkiv region

A fire truck exploded after it ran over an explosive device planted by the enemy near the town of Balaklya, injuring two rescuers, the State Emergency Service reported in a Telegram post seen by Ukrinform.

“A fire truck exploded after hitting an explosive device in the Kharkiv region; two rescuers were injured. The accident occurred this afternoon while extinguishing a forest fire in the liberated area near the town of Balakliya, Izyum district,” the report reads.

It should be noted that the injured were taken to hospital.

The Ukrinform portal reported that three people were injured in an explosion that occurred in the village of Starytsia near the city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region.
