Zbigniew Boniek discusses Paulo Dybala’s career change and its impact on the season

Former Roma player and UEFA board member Zbigniew Boniek was one of many to speak out on Paulo Dybala’s sudden change of heart.

In an interview for RateBoniek commented on Dybala’s decision and its impact on the season.

“I think it’s a great thing for Roma and her fans. I don’t know what the reason is for this last-minute change, but mutual love is not an option.”

“Rome is in love with his plays. Now he has to realize that he wouldn’t get that love anywhere else and he’ll have to pay it back with his performances on the pitch.”

“Dybala is an extraordinary player, but he needs to add continuity. Let’s be honest, if Paulo was a player without all these physical problems, he would be playing for the best clubs in the world, like Real or City.”

“Instead, he has too often alternated fantastic performances with a certain physical uncertainty. We hope that now, seeing the human warmth towards him, he will be able to fully concentrate and help Roma.”

“De Rossi? Daniele will definitely do well, he is capable and above all he is someone the players get on with. Of course I hope he stays at Roma for as long as possible and that he manages to win a trophy.”
