Huge interest in Sage Intacct at Brilliant Link customer breakfast

Devon Rimmington, Managing Director of Brilliant Link, welcomes attendees to the Sage Intacct customer breakfast.

Devon Rimmington, Managing Director of Brilliant Link, welcomes attendees to the Sage Intacct customer breakfast.

Brilliant Link, an ERP and accounting software specialist and long-time Sage partner, announces that Sage 200 Evolution customers are welcoming Sage Intacct, Sage’s new cloud ERP solution for mid-sized businesses.

Brilliant Link recently demonstrated the capabilities of the Sage Intacct platform to valued Sage 200 Evolution customers at a business breakfast in Midrand.

Devon Rimmington, Director of Brilliant Link, says: “Sage Intacct adds significant value to our customers and the product has generated a lot of interest. The response at our customer breakfast was overwhelmingly positive.”

Rimmington says Brilliant Link has been supporting Sage 200 customers for around 20 years and expects Sage Intacct to continue to meet their needs for another 20 years.

He says: “About five years ago, our customers started reaching out to our consultants and saying, ‘What’s next?’ They had been using Sage 200 Evolution for many years, but they wanted to move with the times and adopt AI, dashboarding and automation. That wasn’t always possible in the systems they were using. Those capabilities had to be developed outside of their systems. Sage Intacct gives our customers the functionality they were desperately missing.”

At a recent business breakfast event titled: “Change the Way You Think and Work,” Brilliant Link and Sage Intacct customers shared how Sage Intacct can streamline financial operations while saving time and resources.

Sage 200 Evolution customers heard from Sage speakers, including Gerhard Hartman, regional vice president, midstream, Africa and Middle East, and Jordaan Burger, vice president, finance, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific, Sage, who outlined the benefits that can be achieved by implementing a cloud-native finance solution such as Sage Intacct. They emphasized how quickly new features can be implemented in the Intacct suite and noted that the product is backed by an experienced team of global developers and engineers, allowing local customers to take advantage of global trends.

Rahana Vally, Director at Brilliant Link, outlined why Brilliant Link chose Sage Intacct as its product for the next 20 years. She says, “I’m really excited about it because it’s a product that fits the customers in the room and meets most of their requirements. For example, Sage Intacct Collaborate literally ‘puts everyone on the same page’ by allowing users to have conversations about something in the system, collaborate and add information. They could give auditors access to information in the system without having to prepare files. Other key capabilities include simplified approvals in financial systems and banking channels,” she says.

“Customers needed the next step for their business. Their legacy product couldn’t meet the demands of having all the information they needed at their fingertips, accessible to anyone, anywhere.”

Vally says Intacct is part of a major trend toward moving to the cloud: “People no longer want on-premises servers that they have to manage and maintain. They want their ERP to be always-on, always-up-to-date, with features like dashboards that simplify their work.”

Erika More, Sales Director at Sage Intacct, and Tasneem Dajee, Solutions Engineer at Sage Intacct, presented the key benefits of implementing Intacct, such as built-in dashboards and analytics, the ability to process transactions against dimensions enabling unlimited reporting flexibility, and custom workflows and intelligent events.

Finally, Martini Hyman, Senior Product Manager at Sage Intacct International, discussed where the product is headed. The roadmap includes basic machine learning and AI embedded in the software to detect outliers and recognize AP documents, as well as recognize and match purchase order documents.

Customers highlight the benefits

Brilliant Link customers already using Sage Intacct have highlighted key benefits of their platform implementations, including accessibility, dashboards and streamlined workflows.

For Nasreen Naidoo, Ocean Basket’s CFO and IT, one benefit of the change is the ease of consolidating reports from multiple legal entities, including different countries and currencies.

Sanri van der Walt, ATKV MSW Financial Manager, said the benefits for her department included the ability to design reports without having to use external consulting resources. She also noted that users adopted the software easily and were able to learn on their own through Sage Intacct University.

Darius Bester, senior accountant at Q4 Fuel, said Intacct offers flexibility, customizable reports and is very user-friendly, especially the fixed assets module, especially for Q4 Fuel’s asset-intensive business. He added that Brilliant Link helped the company smoothly transition to Sage Intacct.
