September 24: First date allowed for players participating in Celtics and Nuggets preseason games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to report to their teams (no earlier than 11:00 a.m. local time)
September 25: Training camps open to all teams playing preseason games outside North America
September 30: First possible date for all remaining experienced players to report to their teams (no earlier than 11:00 local time)
October 1st: NBA training camps open
October 4: NBA preseason games begin
October 4 and 6: NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 (Celtics vs. Nuggets | Abu Dhabi, UAE)
