Kiwi edtech Kami gets big US investment

A New Zealand company that produces educational software used by millions of people around the world has just received backing from a US private equity firm.

Kami is an interactive software that teachers can use for presentations and assessments, as well as a tool tailored to the needs of a wide range of students.

It was founded in 2011 by Henjie Wang.

Boston Ventures Investment Partners has valued the company at $300 million and has an estimated 40 million users worldwide.

Hengjie Wang talks to Kathryn about the company’s plans.
