Prestwick Airport appoints Colin Dai as domestic sales director for China

Glasgow Prestwick Airport (GPA) has appointed Colin Dai as its domestic sales director for China.

Dai has more than 25 years of experience in aviation and e-commerce, having led the Chinese interests of several international airlines, including Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic, an official GPA press release said.

“With the rapid growth of Chinese e-commerce and the demand for it in the UK, there is a growing need for efficient and reliable international logistics solutions,” says Dai, Country Sales Director, China, GPA. “I will focus on meeting these growing business needs by introducing GPA services to Chinese companies, leveraging the airport’s strategic location, state-of-the-art facilities and partnership with Royal Mail.”

Nico Le Roux, Business Development Director at GPA, adds: “China is one of the most dynamic e-commerce markets in the world and we are excited that Colin will join us and lead our efforts in the region.”

The announcement follows GPA’s recent launch of an e-commerce solution in partnership with Royal Mail Group, which solidifies the company’s position as a leading international e-commerce hub in the UK.
