Cyclist dies from injuries sustained in crash in Johnson City – www.elizabethton.com

JOHNSON CITY – A cyclist involved in a traffic accident on Oct. 12 has died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the Johnson City Police Department.

Officers responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle at the intersection of West Maple and Buffalo avenues shortly after 9:45 p.m. The bicyclist, identified as Halie Rex, 26, of Johnson City, was transported to a local hospital following the incident.

Rex died on October 17 due to injuries sustained in the accident.

No charges have been filed at this time as the Johnson City Police Department’s Traffic Reconstruction Unit continues its investigation.
