(Reuters) – Nvidia has not received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice, a spokesman said in a statement on Wednesday.

“We have inquired with the U.S. Department of Justice and have not received a subpoena. However, we are happy to answer any questions regulators may have about our business.”

Bloomberg News reported Tuesday that the Justice Department had issued a subpoena related to a potential antitrust investigation, marking an escalation of the probe. Bloomberg News reported that the subpoenas were sent to other companies besides Nvidia.

The Justice Department has been asking tech companies about Nvidia’s business practices in recent weeks, including the company’s practices of bundling hardware, two sources familiar with the questions asked by investigators told Reuters.

The Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In addition to the bundling questions, Justice Department officials are investigating the recent $700 million acquisition of Israeli-based Run:AI in April, sources also told Reuters. Officials are examining whether the purchase could further expand Nvidia’s influence in the AI computing market.
