US firm takes over Kaspersky customers after government ban

Kaspersky customers are assured of a smooth transition

Neill Feather, Pango’s president and COO, promises a smooth transition to Ultra AV. He told Axios: “The good news is that customers don’t have to take any action. We’ll outline the things they need to know and need to know in a series of emails, and then our customer support team will be ready to help.”

However, both companies do not disclose the financial details of the agreement.

Once the transition is complete, Kaspersky US customers will no longer be owned by the Russian company’s IP. This comes as the Biden administration is investigating other software companies from “foreign adversaries” such as Russia and China as potential threats. As the war in Ukraine continues, other Russian companies could soon find themselves in the U.S. government’s crosshairs.
