Inclusive French Government: A New Political Landscape

Prime Minister Michel Barnier has revealed that France’s new government will be exceptionally open, as it will include not only representatives of President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist camp, but also those of the left, breaking down traditional party divisions.

In his first interview since his appointment, Barnier stressed the importance of creating an open and collaborative political environment given the lack of a clear majority in the lower house of parliament.

Barnier stressed: “We must open the doors… to all who want it”, emphasising his commitment to inclusiveness and cooperation in government.
