Selena Gomez is officially a billionaire

Washington (USA), September 7 (ANI): Selena Gomez has officially joined the ranks of the youngest billionaires.

According to Deadline, the actress who plays Emilia Perez has achieved this financial success primarily due to the success of her cosmetics brand Rare Beauty, as well as other profitable ventures.

Founded in 2019, Rare Beauty has significantly contributed to Gomez’s net worth increasing by $1.3 billion, making her one of the youngest female billionaires in the United States.

According to Deadline, the cosmetics brand accounts for approximately 81.4 percent of her total net worth.

Gomez’s wealth isn’t solely attributed to her beauty brand. Her valuation includes her stake in mental health startup Wondermind, revenue from music albums, real estate investments, and earnings from streaming deals, brand partnerships, concert tours, and acting projects.

Although Gomez’s last solo tour, the Revival Tour, ended in 2016 and her latest album, Rare, was released in 2020, she remains a prominent figure in the entertainment world.

She continues to earn recognition as the star and executive producer of the popular Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.

The series, which was recently renewed for a fifth season, earned Gomez her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Additionally, Only Murders in the Building was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series for the third consecutive time.

Gomez is set to return to her television roots in the upcoming sequel series Wizards of Waverly Place.

The new series, set to premiere on October 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, follows the success of her Disney Channel original series, “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

Gomez and her former co-star David Henrie not only reprise their roles, but also serve as executive producers on the sequel. (ANI)
