Public opinion polls indicate the need to improve services, focus on automation and customer needs

Government opinion polls show the need for improved services: faster transactions and better digital access.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept. 8: A series of government opinion polls aimed at improving services provided by ministries and agencies has produced a set of recommendations aimed at improving the quality of services provided to customers. The proposals focus on developing service mechanization such as electronic payments, streamlining procedures, improving complaint handling, developing electronic services and shortening the documentation cycle for processing customer transactions.

Specific recommendations for the General Traffic Department include speeding up transactions, expanding services available through the Sahel app, and addressing customer feedback. For delivery departments, the recommendations emphasize upgrading delivery centers, creating storage and distribution centers in residential areas, and introducing services that make it easier for citizens to access groceries, both through direct centers and delivery options.

The surveys also highlighted the need to shorten the document cycle for city transactions, increase employee productivity through specialist training courses, speed up workflows across departments and focus on the needs of senior and special needs customers.

Further recommendations emphasize the importance of automating postal notifications, integrating electronic payment services and achieving a fully automated system linking customs with the Ministry of Transport. In addition, the recommendations emphasize the need to streamline the process of documenting birth and death management services and issuing certificates, in line with the government’s digital transformation initiative.
