Former District of Columbia-based Orrick Litigator attorney joins Miami office of King & Spalding as partner

King & Spalding hires litigator Will Stute from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, who officially relocates his practice from DC to Miami.

In an era when going to trial has become less common, Stute has more than 100 trials in the past decade, handling a wide range of cases and working at several high-profile firms. During his six years at Orrick, Stute headed the firm’s sports practice. Before that, he spent three years at McDermott Will & Emery, where he began representing the National Collegiate Athletic Association in concussion litigation. Despite his recent stint as head of the sports practice, Stute will be a partner at King & Spalding in the product liability and mass torts areas.
