3 dead in Lloydminster | CTV News

Three people died in an “incident” in Lloydminster, RCMP have confirmed.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., mounted police issued a warning that they were responding to a call at a home at 50 Street and 47 Avenue on the Saskatchewan side of the border town.

At 7 a.m. Thursday morning, CTV News Edmonton captured security tape around the home, which also shows police talking to neighbours.

Several people told CTV News Edmonton there were three adults living in the home: a man and his two sons.

“It’s quite disturbing, especially since I knew them,” said one local resident.

“It’s usually pretty quiet. There’s usually kids running around there. We don’t usually have to worry about stuff like that.”

Police in a statement issued at 11:18 a.m. on Thursday said there was no threat to the public.

Investigators were expected to remain at the scene throughout the day.

No further details were provided.

This is a developing story. More to come…
