Dormo says that over the past two years, BAT Fiji has made significant progress and investment in its sustainability programme, demonstrating its commitment to tackling climate change.

It claims the partnership with Vision Energy Solutions will help them reduce electricity consumption by about 60% and carbon dioxide emissions by about 32% at the Nabua plant.

Dormo adds that this is in line with their goal of achieving a 50% share of renewable energy and a 50% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 2030.

Installation began earlier this week and is scheduled for completion in January 2025.

Vision Investments CEO Sanjesh Prasad says Vision Energy Solutions was established six years ago to meet the growing demand for renewable energy solutions, including solar energy, in the country.
