As the architect behind several groundbreaking innovations, Zhuoyue played a key role in implementing key features such as the space management background infrastructure, persistent memory allocation infrastructure (PMEM), AI vector index support, and automatic memory defragmentation—all of which significantly improved the performance, stability, and scalability of the database. His work has led to the filing of a patent application for his novel approach to memory defragmentation, for which he is the primary inventor.

Zhuoyue’s expertise as a database kernel memory expert has enabled Oracle to optimize database performance with predictive analytics and AI-based solutions. His efforts in integrating AI with space management have transformed the way databases handle complex queries, especially those involving multi-dimensional vector data.

Promoted to Senior Software Engineer as well as Team Leader of the Persistent Memory Management Team, Zhuoyue has demonstrated exceptional leadership.
