Parliamentary panel to examine performance of insurance companies and solar corporations

New Delhi A parliamentary committee tasked with examining the accounts of public sector undertakings will examine the performance of insurance sector undertakings and solar energy corporations.

The Committee on Public Undertakings (CoPU) will also investigate the activities of the National Finance and Development Corporation of Scheduled Castes (NSFDC).

The panel, headed by BJP’s Baijayant Panda, will also assess the performance of Sagarmala Development Company Limited (SDCL).

As the government moves to harness renewable energy as a driver of economic growth, a parliamentary committee will conduct a comprehensive assessment of Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) from a list of entities selected by it.

The Commission periodically selects for examination organizational units or objects that it deems appropriate.

The ministry or company concerned is requested to provide the necessary materials on these topics for informing the members. PTI NAB BAL BAL
