The Wait for iOS 18 Is Almost Over, Here’s When You Can Download It

Apple announced iPhone 16 linenew Apple Watch Series 10 and more on his event September 9. (CNET has already had the opportunity to see it for itself Apple Watch Series 10 and new Watch Ultra 2 color.) The tech giant also announced online that it will release iOS 18, a new operating system for the iPhone, on Monday, September 16 — that’s when I predicted it would be released.

It’s unclear what time the update will be available, but Apple historically releases updates around 1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT. When Apple releases an update, you may experience slow download times since many people are likely to have downloaded it as well.

Apple announced iOS 18 at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June, and developers and beta testers have been able to download a beta version of the software for months. The operating system is expected to bring new features to all iPhones, such as ways customize your home screen, RCS News and more.

The operating system will also include: Apple Intelligence to some iPhones this year. Apple has already released a developer version iOS 18.1which provides Apple Intelligence capabilities to developers.
