Mass. One person killed, several injured after four-vehicle crash in Pike

The Hopkinton crash involved three motor vehicles and a tractor trailer.

One person was killed in a three-car crash on Interstate 90 in Hopkinton Tuesday night that also involved a tractor trailer, police said.

According to Massachusetts State Police, at 11:40 p.m., Charlton Barracks responded to a crash involving a tractor trailer.

Six ambulances arrived at the scene to provide medical aid to six patients; two of which were “severely stranded” According to the Westborough Fire Department.

Police said two people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, and one man, identified as David Fencil, 48, of Calvert City, Kentucky, died from his injuries at the hospital.

The “major crash” occurred westbound on the Massachusetts Turnpike near mile marker 105. department said.

State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Services, Middlesex SPDU, Crime Scene Services Division, and Westborough Fire/EMS responded to the scene.
