LeBron James’ Younger Son Bryce Sees Huge Increase in NIL Profits

In the new landscape of amateur sports, both high school and college athletes have the opportunity to capitalize on their name, image, and likeness (NIL). We’ve seen the children of legendary professional athletes benefit greatly from their famous names.

Recently, we’ve seen players like Sheduer Sanders and Arch Manning command huge NIL valuations due to the hype surrounding them. Sanders is currently the highest-paid college athlete, regardless of sport, at $5.1 million, with Manning right behind him at $3.1 million.

Forward Bryce James, the son of 20-time Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James and younger brother of Lakers starting point guard Bronny James, will be the next prodigal to see a huge NIL rating when he hits a college campus. The senior from Sierra Canyon School currently ranks No. 1 in NIL ratings in high school basketball. James has never stepped foot on a college basketball court, but he is currently ranked 15th in the country as a cash earner by the NIL Top-100.

The only player in the country ranked higher than James is projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA draft, Cooper Flagg, who recently committed to Duke University this year. The Maine Event eclipsed James in the NIL basketball rankings on April 25 after a $125,000 raise moved him to a valuation of $1.4 million.

As the son of a man some consider the best basketball player in the world, Bryce James has benefited greatly from the attention that comes with it. The youngest son of the James family has a massive social media following of 3.4 million, which is split between 2.1 million followers on Instagram, 1.3 million on TikTok and 17.5k on X.

When James commits to a college, he will see a significant increase in his already massive NIL rating, as it will open up the possibility of new lucrative deals. Ohio State University is a program that has been heavily recruiting James and is one of the biggest brands in college sports. If the Buckeyes can secure a commitment from James, he could easily see his NIL rating skyrocket to the three to five million dollar range. LeBron already has ties to the university, so this could be a no-brainer financial decision for Bryce James for the 2025 shooting guard class.
