JSW arm completes 300-MW wind power launch in Tamil Nadu | Capital Market News

JSW Energy announced that its subsidiary JSW Renew Energy Two has completed commissioning of a 300 MW ISTS-connected wind farm project awarded by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under Tranche X, located at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.

Then, the total current installed capacity is 7726 MW and the capacity under construction is 2114 MW and is planned to be commissioned by the end of fiscal year 2025. The current installed wind capacity of the company is 2152 MW.

JSW Energy has a total locked generation capacity of 18.2 GW, consisting of wind, solar, hydro and thermal power plants. The company’s current renewable pipeline is 8.3 GW and a PPA has been signed for 2.3 GW. The company also has 4.2 GWh of locked energy storage capacity through a battery storage system and a pumped-storage project. The company aims to achieve 20 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity before 2030. JSW Energy has set itself an ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

The securities rose by 1.01% to close at Rs 767.90 on Friday, September 13, 2024.
