Get Funding for Your Startup Idea – Everything You Need to Know About the Billion Proposals Contest

If you have a startup, business idea, or innovative project in the creator economy, you can apply for this competition, which is open to both new and established people. The program includes expert consultations on fundraising strategies, presentation techniques, and an in-depth analysis of your pitch deck. A pitch deck is a short presentation that details your business plan to investors and customers.

Startups will also receive hands-on training on how to effectively present their ideas, ensuring they are fully prepared for the event. They will have access to workshops and individual consultations.

• Start filling out the details of your startup idea:

1. What is your big idea? Describe your innovative idea in a line or more detail.
2. What problem does your idea solve?
3. Who is your target group?
4. What stage are you at? Enter or select an option: idea stage; prototype stage; early product stage; growth stage; established and scalable
5. What makes your idea unique?
6. Is your company registered/a corporation?
7. How much was your revenue this year?

• You will then be asked to provide details about yourself and share a link to your pitch deck, video, or other supporting materials that will help us better understand your idea. Submitting a pitch deck (a short presentation of your business plan) is a big plus for your application.

Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed and around 100 startups will be selected in the first phase. If your startup is selected, you will be required to fill out a more detailed application and will be contacted via email with further instructions. Then, 25 startups will be selected to participate in the event and will be given access to an exclusive pre-event mentoring program.

In addition to the mentoring program, you will also have the chance to pitch your idea at booths at the event. If you live outside the UAE, your travel to Dubai will be fully covered, and you will have the opportunity to meet investors, partners and customers at the event.

During the event, you will compete with other startups that have been selected and present your business idea to a panel of judges consisting of experts and investors. Voting will be done by both the audience and the panel to select the best candidates. On the third day, two finalists will compete for investment opportunities. The winner will have promising investment and partnership opportunities.

The One Billion Followers Summit will be held at the Emirates Towers in Dubai from January 11 to 13, 2025.
