OPPO Find X8 benchmark reveals surprising performance

As September comes to a close, the tech world is buzzing with excitement about the upcoming launch of new flagship Android phones and processors in October. Two of the most anticipated processors, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, are set to power the next generation of high-end devices. Among them, the new OPPO Find X8 smartphone has already appeared in benchmarks. Here’s a closer look at what’s coming.

OPPO Find X8: Benchmark Results and Key Features

OPPO Find X8 and Dimensity 9400 processor

MediaTek is gearing up to launch its latest high-end processor, the Dimensity 9400, which will power several upcoming smartphones. Rumor has it that the vivo X200 series will be the first to feature the processor, closely followed by OPPO’s Find X8 series.

The OPPO Find X8 benchmarks have already surfaced, giving us a taste of its performance. Powered by the Dimensity 9400, the Find X8 scored 2,876 points in the single-core tests and 8,987 points in the multi-core tests on Geekbench. While these are respectable numbers, they are slightly below the scores of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 that will power the OnePlus 13. The OnePlus 13 scored 3,216 points in the single-core tests and an impressive 10,051 points in the multi-core tests.

In addition to the processor, the tests showed that the Find X8 will be equipped with 16GB of RAM and will run on the latest Android 15 operating system, which will ensure smooth multitasking and high performance.

vivo X200: Lower benchmark scores

The vivo X200 series, which was also rumored to feature the Dimensity 9400 processor, didn’t fare as well in the benchmarks. The model identified as the vivo V2319A only scored 1,531 points in single-core tests and 6,168 points in multi-core tests. That’s a much lower score than OPPO’s Find X8. That suggests the Dimensity 9400 is a capable chip. And its performance may vary depending on the device it’s powering.

What to expect from the Dimensity 9400

In addition, the Dimensity 9400 will use advanced technology from TSMC’s second-generation N3 process, which promises better power efficiency and performance. The processor will have eight cores: one powerful Cortex-X5 core at 3.4 GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.3 GHz, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4 GHz. This configuration is expected to provide a 40% performance increase over the previous Dimensity 9300 model.

Application

So, with the launch of the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors, we can expect a significant jump in performance for flagship Android smartphones. While the OPPO Find X8 and OnePlus 13 are leading the race with strong benchmark scores, other devices like the vivo X200 may need further optimization to match their power.
