Apple has stopped releasing the iPadOS 18 update for iPad Pro M4 models, meaning the new software is currently unavailable to download or install.

The update was apparently pulled following complaints from some iPad Pro owners who said the update was bricking their devices.

Reports have surfaced on Reddit from iPad Pro users who have experienced a break in the installation process, leading to the iPad refusing to turn on. Affected users have had to replace their device entirely.

Not all iPad Pro M4 owners had trouble installing the update. This may be due to installing the new iOS 17.7 update before installing iOS 18. Apple will re-release the software once the underlying issue is resolved.
