Chevron Introduces Clarity Bio EliteSyn AW to Improve Sustainability and Performance of Hydraulic Fluids

Chevron has introduced Clarity Bio EliteSyn AW, a hydraulic fluid designed to meet the changing needs of the marine and construction industries while promoting environmental stewardship. As governments around the world tighten regulations to protect our planet, Chevron is introducing new options to support these initiatives, introducing Clarity Bio EliteSyn AW as a solution that combines environmental responsibility with the demands of high-performance hydraulic fluids.

At its core, Clarity Bio EliteSyn AW represents a significant advance in hydraulic fluid technology. Not only does it meet strict government environmental regulations by meeting or exceeding biodegradability, toxicity and bioaccumulation limits, it has a high renewable carbon content of around 90 percent. It works well, ensuring that customers do not have to compromise on quality or performance.

  • Efficiency: Clarity Bio EliteSyn AW outperforms traditional hydraulic fluids, the company said. With a Total Oxidation Stability Test (TOST) time of more than 10,000 hours, it outperforms existing products on the market.
  • Seal Compatibility: The new product provides customers with a smooth transition by eliminating the need to change seals on equipment when changing products. This compatibility advantage simplifies the adoption process, reducing downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Environmental compliance: Compliant with the EU Ecolabel, US EPA General Vessel Approval (VGP), Swedish Environmentally Friendly Lubricants (EAL) standard and OECD definition of “readily biodegradable”, Clarity Bio EliteSyn AW meets the strictest environmental standards, making it an ideal choice for environmentally sensitive work environments.
  • Wildlife-friendly formula: With a zinc-free formula, Clarity Bio EliteSyn AW is environmentally safe, making it ideal for use near water bodies or in areas of potential risk to wildlife.
