The idea behind Zillingo

Born in Dehradun, Ankiti Bose did her schooling from Cambridge School in Mumbai and then attended the prestigious St. Xavier’s College, where she completed her graduation. After completing her graduation, she started her career at McKinsey & Company and later at Sequoia Capital in Bangalore. While exploring Chatuchak Weekend Market, she noticed that many local stores lacked an online presence. This inspired her to leave her position as an investment analyst at Sequoia Capital to launch Zilingo. She partnered with Dhruv Kapoor to start the business. She was named to Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 in 2018 and Fortune’s 40 Under 40 along with Bloomberg 50 in 2019.
