$765 million spent in restaurants and bars

In a toast to summer and American independence, Texas restaurants, bars and entertainment venues contributed more than $763 million to the state economy in July from alcohol sales, according to the latest data released by the Texas Comptroller’s Office.

This figure includes only sales from the hospitality and entertainment sectors and does not include additional revenue from retail stores.
