iPhone 16 in 10 Minutes: Fast Trading Outshines E-Commerce Giants

Quick commerce platforms are changing the way people shop, and their latest target is the premium smartphone market.

Blinkit, a leading player in the instant shopping market, has launched an all-new iPhone 16 series with delivery in just 10 minutes, challenging traditional e-commerce giants.

The sale of the new iPhone 16 series began today and on the occasion, Blinkit announced its partnership with Unicorn Stores, an authorized Apple reseller, to bring the latest iPhone models to major cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru.

The move could shake the dominance of established e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart, which typically offer 1-2 day delivery times for high-demand products.

Albinder Dhindsa, Founder and CEO of Blinkit, shared the news of the service on social media, saying, “Get your brand new iPhone 16 in 10 minutes! We’re partnering with @UnicornAPR for the third year in a row to deliver the latest iPhone to Blinkit customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru (for now) – on launch day!”

This decision becomes even more attractive for customers as Unicorn offers additional discounts for selected credit card holders, as well as installment options, making the purchase of a premium smartphone more flexible and affordable.

Dhindsa also shared the huge demand for the new iPhones and said, “We started delivering iPhones at 8 am – and we will cross the 300-unit mark in a few minutes. Today is going to be a crazy day.”

A challenge for traditional e-commerce

This new development is set to revolutionize the traditional e-commerce model. Quick-trading platforms like Blinkit have built their reputation on speed and convenience.

Customers who previously had to wait for 1-2 days for their orders from platforms like Amazon or Flipkart to be delivered can now get their new iPhone within minutes with Blinkit’s super-fast service.

For traditional e-commerce sites that rely on a more elaborate supply chain and delivery process, competing with a 10-minute delivery window will be a huge challenge.

The essence of fast trading is local deliveries from warehouses or non-warehouses located in close proximity to customers, which allows them to fulfill orders much faster than in the case of conventional logistics chains.

While platforms like Amazon and Flipkart may offer discounts and installment options, speed of delivery is a key differentiating factor that can shift customer preferences towards platforms like Blinkit, especially for high-demand products like the iPhone 16.

Changing consumer preferences

The rise of fast-paced commerce also reflects changing consumer preferences. Today’s shoppers, especially those in urban areas, value speed and convenience more than ever. Blinkit’s decision to offer iPhones with instant delivery fits right into that trend. People no longer want to wait days to receive their purchases—they want their products now, and Blinkit’s 10-minute delivery option meets that need.

Flash trading platforms also add an element of excitement to shopping. The chance to get your hands on the latest tech gadget, such as the iPhone 16, within minutes of its release adds to the thrill of shopping.
