ISHPEMING, MI – Alex “Gold” Goldsworthy, 32, of Ishpeming, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2024, at his home.

Alex was born April 15, 1992, in Ishpeming, the son of Carrie (Swanson) Goldsworthy and the late William Goldsworthy. He grew up in Ishpeming and graduated from Ishpeming High School in 2011. After graduation, he attended NMU where he earned an associate degree in Hospitality Management. Alex worked as a clerk at Circle K (Holiday) in Ishpeming for several years.

Alex loved playing video games, Dungeons and Dragons, singing, spending time with friends, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. His passion for loving and being loved was known to everyone who knew him.

Alex was greeted by his mother Carrie Goldsworthy, brother Andy Goldsworthy, as well as all his beloved aunts, uncles, cousins ​​and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Bill Goldsworthy, maternal grandparents Ted and Cathy Swanson, paternal grandparents William and Eleanor Goldsworthy, uncle Tom Goldsworthy and cousin Ryan Filizetti.

Alex’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM with Pastor Steve Solberg officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall.
