Steve Stoute Responds to Nicki Minaj’s Tidal Comments; Minaj Responds, Claiming She Was ‘Ripped’ (Video)

Musical Director Steve Stoute he had a few words for Nicki Minaj after publicly embarrassing Jay-Z over her sour Tidal agreement.

During a recent interview with “Axis of rotation” Stoute expressed his opinion on the outrage surrounding the Super Bowl Halftime show. Stoute felt that Kendrick Lamar was rightly chosen to perform and gave Jay-Z credit for giving more black artists the opportunity to perform since Roc Nation began overseeing the famous concert. Stoute was angry that several people turned their backs on Hov, particularly Nicki Minaj, who also claimed she was not paid for her Tidal deal.

“I think in this case, what Nicki did was wrong. To mention Tidal, his streaming company, that he gave you a stake in, that you didn’t sign the fucking papers and that’s why you left millions of dollars on the table, that man did nothing to you,” Stoute said firmly.

This prompted Minaj to take to Twitter, slamming the situation at Tidal and Stoute.

“I got a call saying Tidal had been sold and they didn’t make any money on the deal so all they could offer me was a million dollars. 😅💰🤣 but wait, there’s more! The lawyer reported that Desirat informed him that I MUST SIGN A DEAL WITHIN 24 HOURS IF I WANT 1MM or the “offer” is off the table. Listen to the end of “Fractions” to hear my response,” Minaj wrote on Twitter.

“So Barbz, thank you for supporting something I was a part of. I love you. But I was scammed and offered a million dollars to keep quiet. I refused. God’s grace is sufficient. I didn’t need their money to keep quiet,” she added in a follow-up tweet.

A week ago, Minaj revealed that she didn’t get “a single red cent” from Tidal, which was sold in 2021 for $300 million. Previous reports claimed that all shareholders made more than $8 million when the company changed hands, although we now know that Minaj wasn’t part of that payout.

In another message, Minaj appeared to criticize Stoute for jailing Diddy, suggesting he and others were using her name to deflect attention.

“They need to keep the conversation on me so no one asks about these allegations against their BFF. I mean it looks like the 30 year old tea here is VERY far from stale. Patterns. Still. SAS, UGLY ALIEN, STOUT, d**k breath etc all talk about Onika? Why are they talking about Oniqua?!?!?!” she wrote.
